Dining at The Peninsula Beijing is a delightful experience. The hotel includes two of Beijing's most sophisticated tables: Jing, a super-sleek, "modern meets Asian" restaurant, ranked as one of the "75 World's Top New Restaurants" in 2003 by Condé Nast Traveler, and "Best Beijing's Fusion Restaurants" by Modern Media (China; Huang Ting, notably for its stylish interpretation of a historic Chinese courtyard, serves exquisite authentic dim sum, Cantonese cuisine, and Beijing specialities. The Lobby Lounge and Bar also offers a superb selection of cocktails, teas, and coffees, and the hotel provides 24-hour Room Service.

The Lobby Lounge
The Lobby Lounge and Bar offers a superb selection of cocktails, teas, and coffees, including the legendary Peninsula Afternoon Tea, which is served from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm daily, with live music starting at 5:00 pm. The Lobby Lounge and Bar is located adjacent to the international brand name boutiques of The Peninsula Arcade.

Huang Ting
Designed as a contemporary interpretation of Beijing's traditional noble courtyard houses, Huang Ting features gray brick walls taken from original hutongs, slate floors, aged pine floors, beams from a 200-year-old mansion in Suzhou, near Shanghai, and an impressive collection of antiques, most dating from the Qing dynasty (1644-1911). Huang Ting features the finest Cantonese cuisine under a renowned Master Chef and seats 140. There are also four private dining rooms, the largest of which seats up to 25.

Spa & Fitness
For the perfect work out, the Fitness Centre includes a wide range of weight-training and fitness equipment, steam rooms and saunas, separte male and female locker rooms and a heated indoor swimming pool. Private treatment rooms are also available for various treatments including traditional Chinese massage, reflexology and therapeutic aroma massage, to name but a few.

Slated to open in May 2008 and offering a deeply personalised spa experience like nowhere else in Beijing, The Peninsula Spa by ESPA will form part of the hotel¡¦s third floor wellness, health and fitness facility. The 4,100 square-metre Spa includes 12 state-of-the-art treatment rooms, which provide an oasis of calm in the city for guests to renew themselves in mind, body and spirit.

The Peninsula Beijing's Spa by ESPA will be the latest spa to open in the groupwide partnership between The Peninsula Hotels and ESPA, following the successful launch of spas in Hong Kong and Bangkok in 2006 and Chicago and Tokyo in 2007.

The Fitness Center
We are delighted to announce the opening of The Peninsula Spa by ESPA in Spring 2008. At the heart of this spa is a city retreat permeated by indulgence and deep relaxation and exclusive signature treatments. Facilities include The Peninsula Spa by ESPA, an indoor heated swimming pool and a fully equipped gymnasium with cardio- and weight-training machines. Renovation is ongoing and full facilities will be available by Spring 2008.

During this interim period, the gymnasium will be located in the Ruby Room on the second floor, complete with a full range of cardio- and weight-training gym equipment and will be available to guests. The gymnasium will have a welcome desk and will be fully manned at all times.

SPECIAL MASSAGE TREATMENTS
The treatment rooms are being redesigned and renovated and will reopen as part of The Peninsula Spa by ESPA in Spring 2008. During this period, two treatment rooms and a welcome reception room have been re-located to the 8th floor. Guests continue to have the option of enjoying a treatment within the privacy of their own room.

Once open, these private treatment rooms will be available for various bespoke treatments that include traditional Chinese, therapeutic aroma massage, sports massage, head and shoulders massage, foot reflexology, and abdominal massage, all done by professionally-trained therapists.

Swimming Pool
The swimming pool is undergoing complete renovation and will be open by Spring 2008. During this interim period, the hotel has made arrangements for guests to use the swimming pool in the adjacent Lee Gardens Apartments.
