Location
The Auberge is poised on the shore of the purest lake in Europe in the bay of Talloires. The first mountains of the Alps embrace it. With no main route passing close by, it is an enclave of quiet and discretion far from the madding crowd, the “Venice of Savoy”. The three buildings making up the Auberge are situated in a big park full of hundred year-old species of trees, which inspired Cézanne’s 1897 painting “The lake of Annecy”, now exhibited in the Courtauld Institute in London.
