Glen
A thickly wooded ravine through which a stream gurgles past moss covered boulders. The surrounding woods offer many a popular picnic spot. Above the Glen is the old carriage track that connects Viceregal Lodge to Annandale and a lonely forest trail that circles Summer Hill.

Narkanda
Situated on the Hindustan Tibet Road, 51 kilometres from Wildflower Hall. It offers a panoramic view of the Inner Himalayas. Set aside some time to pick apples & cherries at the orchards at near by Kotgarh & Thanedar. Eight kilometres from Narkanda is the Hattu Peak, at a height of 3300m, which has several ski slopes – a beginner’s run, a slalom slope and a sharper descent for the seasoned skier.
Tattapani / Shiv Goofa
The hot sulphur springs of Tattapani are known for their therapeutic powers. Follow the Sutlej upto Shiv Goofa, where 181 shivlings’ have been formed by the flow of water through a cave on the river side. The scenic two hour drive is over before you know it.
Mall
The Mall has always been a place to be seen at, for local Shimla residents. It has offered great shopping sprees to visitors since the 1800’s. The unique feature of vehicular traffic being forbidden on the mall has only added to its appeal. The Gaiety theatre, the Town Hall, St. Michael’s Cathedral and the General Post Office are good examples of colonial architecture on the Mall.
Annandale
Seventeen kilometres from the hotel and best known as the Helipad, Annandale is surrounded by thick woods of Himalayan cedar and has a golf course and a temple at its edge.
Kufri
Three kilometers from the hotel, Kufri is at an altitude of 2622 meters. Venture a little beyond Kufri to discover an interesting picnic spots among the forests glades. A unique Nature Park here that houses the animal and birds found in the region is worth a visit.
Sankat Mochan
This temple, dedicated to Lord Hanuman, is of great religious significance and also commands an excellent view of the town.
Taradevi
Hop on to the “toy train” at Shimla and alight at Taradevi station. Enjoy the two-hour trek through the magnificent cedars up to Taradevi temple. The temple offers serene surroundings and a breathtaking view of low-lying hills in the distance. An all day outing that makes you marvel at nature.
Hatkoti
The ancient temple of Hatkoti is 91 kilometres from Wildflower Hall, at an altitude of 1100 m. It is situated on the banks of the river Pabbar and is dedicated to Goddess Durga and Lord Shiva. Rohru, near Hatkoti, is an excellent spot for trout fishing.
Kasauli
Recommended as a stop on your way back home, Kasauli is a charming town that was a site of an early British army post. Then pine forests offer a great place to relax en route.
