Location
The Hotel RA Beach Thalasso Spa, located in "Sant Salvador Beach", is 40 Km away from the international airport of Barcelona "El Prat" direction south and it is 45 minutes direction south from the city of Barcelona. Located in "Costa Dorada", between Tarragona and Sitges, both cities are at 20 Km from the RA Hotel.
Situated in El Vendrell, on the Costa Daurada, Hotel RA has a perfect location, on a privileged part of the Mediterranean Coast, enjoying the warm rays of the sun all year round and surrounded by magnificent natural beauty. Its proximity to the motorway network makes its easily accessible from Barcelona, Tarragona, Lleida, Valencia, Zaragoza and Madrid.
The Concept
Overlooking a long, wide beach, the hotel has been dramatically restored and, though uncompromisingly modern, echoes the elegance of the older, Moorish building. Its cathedral-like arches and langourous sweep of clean-cut design engender mental calm. Just right for the many sea water therapies on offer in the vast glass-house of a leading-edge spa. Pampered luxury extends to your spacious room that opens up to the Mediterranean view and the soft breezes that blow off it.
The Spa: RA Wellness
Philosophy: “The RA combines luxury and aesthetics, with one prime obejective – to take care of your body. This project was instigated almost by change when we fell in love with the building – the old Sanatorium Sant Joan de Deu, a centre inaugurated by Alfonso XIII in 1929 to take care of children with respiratory illnesses. It was decided to creat a luxury hotel along side one of the most exclusive and spacious Thalassotherapy Centres in Europe, The RA Wellness.
This property offered us unique characterstics. It has a façade of nearly 300 metres facing the beach. It has a microclimate which gives it all year mild climate and is very well connected. Also, the location was especially suitable for the project as the sea water here has special characterstics. As it contains a concentration of iodine 10 times superior to the average of the Mediterranean Sea.

RA Wellness
Taking advantage of the therapeutic properties of the seawater and of the marine environment, this is a thalassotherapy-spa centre that combines well-being and health with an environment that gives priority attention to rest, relaxation, and fitness in accordance with personalised and adapted supervision criteria. All this within elegant surroundings that have been optimised in order to offer a maximum degree of attention all year round.
Sea Area
In the Sea Area is situated the large swimming pool with sea water. It has great views of the sea and a lot of natural light. Enjoy the microbubbles area, the water beds, the cervical and lumbar jets, the crosscurrent water area and the Jacuzzi. There is also a cold water swimming pool at 17C, a pre-sauna, a sauna, a steam bath, an ozone room and a large solarium.
